Get your website enquiries in Asana
Run your client work in Asana? Put an AI chat agent on your website. It answers visitors from your own pages and shows where each answer came from. Every enquiry it takes becomes a task in the Asana project you pick, and so does every question it couldn’t answer.
Sending enquiries to Asana is part of the paid plans. See pricing.
A task in your Asana projectFictional sample
Enquiry from Mara Fictional · mara@lindenhaus.example
“We’re opening a second café in May and need a logo and menus. Could you send a rough quote?”
We tried these steps with our own Asana workspace and a demo website on 31 October 2026. We have not tested Hazelchat with an Asana customer yet. If an Asana screen looks different, Asana’s own help is right.
What arrives in Asana
Connect Asana once and pick a project. Every new enquiry from your website chat then becomes a task there, assigned to you, and so does every question your agent couldn’t answer.
The enquiry
A task named after the visitor, with their email address, their message, the last question they asked and whether it was answered, and where the chat came from.
The open question
A task called “Add an answer” with the visitor’s question and a link that opens it in Hazelchat, so you can add the answer once. At most ten an hour.
In your tasks
Each task is assigned to you, so it shows in My tasks. Open the enquiry in Hazelchat to see the whole conversation.
Your Asana stays yours
Hazelchat only adds tasks to the project you picked. It never changes or deletes anything in your Asana.

Click Publish and switch on. Open your site, ask a question and leave an enquiry with your own email address. The task appears in your Asana project within a minute.
Limits
- Hazelchat reads your workspace and project names, checks the project you picked before each task, and looks for its own recent tasks when it checks a send. It doesn’t touch your other projects, tasks, comments or files.
- Tasks are plain text. A web address a visitor typed is added without “https://”, so it isn’t a link.
- Chat transcripts and phone numbers are never sent, and neither are email addresses inside a question or your own tests.
- If the project is archived or deleted, Hazelchat stops sending and asks you to pick another one. Nothing is lost: what waited goes to the new project.
- Tasks in Asana are yours. Disconnecting stops new ones and leaves the existing ones where they are.
Questions
Which Asana plan do I need?
Hazelchat uses no paid Asana features: no sections, custom fields or rules. We tested it with a new Asana workspace during Asana’s trial.
Which Hazelchat plan do I need?
Sending enquiries to Asana is part of the paid plans, Starter and up. On Free the card shows the plans instead.
Who gets the tasks?
The person who connected Asana. Each task is assigned to them. Asana doesn’t notify you of tasks your own connection adds, so look in My tasks or the project.
Can it use sections, due dates or tags?
Not yet. Asana only lets apps manage sections with full access to your account, and Hazelchat asks for as little as it needs.
How do I stop it?
Click Disconnect Asana on the card in Connections. Hazelchat gives its access back. Your tasks stay.
Hazelchat is not affiliated with or endorsed by Asana. Asana is named here only to say which tool these steps work with.
