Prices exclude any tax we are legally required to charge. As a small business under § 19 UStG we currently charge no VAT; if that changes, tax is added on top, never taken out of the listed price. Cards and Link are accepted; invoices and receipts come from Stripe with your tax ID on them.

Trial, changes and cancelling.

How does the seven-day trial work?

Pick Starter or Business, verify your email, set a password and add a payment method. Nothing is charged for seven days; we email you a day before the first charge. Cancel in the billing portal before then and your workspace simply continues on Free, with your content intact. One trial per workspace.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, from Settings in your workspace. Upgrades and a switch to annual billing apply immediately, with the difference for the current period prorated. Downgrades and a switch back to monthly take effect at your next renewal.

How do I cancel?

In the billing portal, any time. The paid plan runs until the end of the period you already paid for; then the workspace moves to Free without deleting anything. Fees already paid are not refunded or prorated, except where the law requires it or a charge was duplicated or made in error.

What happens if a payment fails?

Stripe retries for up to two weeks and emails you to update the card. Your paid features stay on during that time. If every retry fails, the workspace moves to Free.

Which currency will I be charged in?

EUR in the EU and EEA, USD elsewhere — pick either above. The currency is fixed for the life of the subscription. USD prices are set, not converted, so what you see is what you pay.

Is Hazelchat for consumers?

No. Hazelchat is offered to businesses, professionals and organisations only. Business customers can add their VAT or tax ID at checkout; it is printed on every invoice.

Where do the AI costs go?

They are included. Every plan uses zero-retention model routes with provider data collection denied, and every model we offer sits under a per-answer cost ceiling we check against live prices — that is what makes a flat price safe for both of us.
