The questions guests ask before they book

Hazel answers from your Beds24 texts and the pages you add, so write each answer down once, in Beds24 or on your website.

When your texts do not answer a question, Hazel says so instead of guessing, and offers your next step or an enquiry form. The question shows up in your workspace, so you can add the missing answer.

Prices, free rooms and booking stay in Beds24

Your Beds24 booking page shows today’s prices and free rooms. Hazel does not see them and never books, holds a room or takes a payment. Under a good answer it offers one button that opens your booking page, where the guest picks dates in Beds24 as usual. The button reads Check availability. Connecting Beds24 copies the text of your property and rooms, never prices, availability or bookings.

Prices written on your own pages can be part of an answer, with their source. For a live price or a free room, the button is the answer.

Set it up

1. In Hazelchat

   Open the Beds24 card

   Open the Beds24 card under Sources and click Open Beds24.

2. In Beds24

   Create an invite code

   Sign in to Beds24. Its invite-code form opens with only reading your properties ticked. Click Generate invite code and copy the new code from the Invite Codes list. The code works once.

3. In Hazelchat

   Copy your rooms

   Paste the code into Invite code from Beds24, click Connect Beds24, then Add rooms. Your property and each room guests can book arrive in your draft with their descriptions, check-in times, house rules, sizes, guest limits and amenities, in one language and without prices. With one property and no next step set yet, the booking button then opens your Beds24 booking page. Hazelchat deletes its access at Beds24 right after the copy. To copy changes later, click Update from Beds24 and paste a new code.

4. In Hazelchat

   Add your pages

   Under Sources, also add your website: your FAQ, your terms, and what Beds24 does not hold, such as parking or breakfast details. Try the questions above in the test chat.

5. On your site

   Add Hazelchat to your website

   Add it the way your site allows: the WordPress plugin, the Wix app, the Squarespace guide, or one line of code on any other site. In Hazelchat, open Website → Install on your website → Continue setup and follow the steps for your site.

6. On your site

   Switch on and test

   Click Publish and switch on. Hazelchat checks that the chat is on your website first. Open your site, ask “What time is check-in?”, and back in Hazelchat click Yes, I saw this answer.

Only Beds24’s own booking page?

The chat goes on your own website, not inside Beds24. Without a website of your own, share a link to your agent’s own page in your emails and social profiles.

Limits

• Hazelchat copies your texts when you connect, and again when you click Update from Beds24. It does not read your bookings, guests, prices or availability, and it keeps no access to your Beds24 account after the copy.
• Rooms you hide from your Beds24 booking page are not copied.
• One language per copy: your agent’s language if Beds24 has text in it, otherwise English. The agent still answers guests in their own language.
• Hazelchat does not know which bookings came from a chat. Analytics counts the clicks on your booking button, not bookings.
• With several properties, Hazelchat leaves your next step alone: one booking address serves every question, so choose the page that lists all of them.
