The questions visitors ask before they book

Hazel answers from the pages you add, so write each answer down once on your website.

• Minimum age

  Who can join, and whether children need an adult with them.

• What to bring

  Shoes, clothing, water, ID or anything you provide on the day.

• Meeting point

  Where to go, when to arrive, and parking or public transport.

• Cancellation

  Your cancellation and rescheduling terms, and what happens in bad weather.

When your pages do not answer a question, Hazel says so instead of guessing, and offers your next step or an enquiry form. The question shows up in your workspace, so you can add the missing answer.

Prices, free spots and booking stay in Bookeo

Your Bookeo widget shows today’s times, seats and prices. Hazel does not see them and never books, holds a seat or takes a payment. Under a good answer it offers one button that opens your booking page, where the visitor picks a time in Bookeo as usual. The button reads View purchase options, the closest of the four next steps to buying a ticket.

Prices written on your own pages can be part of an answer, with their source. For a live price or a free spot, the button is the answer.

Set it up

1. In Hazelchat

   Add your pages

   Under Sources, add your website: the pages about each tour, class or room, your FAQ and your cancellation terms. Try the questions above in the test chat.

2. In Bookeo

   Copy your booking page address

   Open Settings → Theme and Layout → Website integration and copy the address of the page on your website that holds the Bookeo widget. Selling a single tour or class? Its own link is under Marketing → Booking button and links.

3. In Hazelchat

   Make your booking page the next step

   Open Behaviour → Actions, set Next step to View purchase options and paste that address as the Destination URL.

4. On your site

   Add Hazelchat to your website

   Add it where your Bookeo widget lives, the way your site allows: the WordPress plugin, the Wix app, the Squarespace guide, or one line of code on any other site. In Hazelchat, open Website → Install on your website → Continue setup and follow the steps for your site.

5. On your site

   Switch on and test

   Click Publish and switch on. Hazelchat checks that the chat is on your website first. Open your site, ask “Is there a minimum age?”, and back in Hazelchat click Yes, I saw this answer.

Only Bookeo’s own booking page?

The chat goes on your own website, not inside Bookeo. Bookeo’s box for extra code, under Marketing → Conversion tracking and analytics → Other tracking methods, runs on the confirmation page after a booking, so it is no place for the chat. Without a website of your own, share a link to your agent’s own page in your emails and social profiles.

Limits

• There is no Bookeo app or connection. Hazelchat does not read your Bookeo account, bookings, prices or availability.
• Hazelchat does not know which bookings came from a chat. Analytics counts the clicks on your booking button, not bookings.
• The agent offers one booking address for every question. The page with your main Bookeo widget works best, because visitors can pick any tour or class there.
