Answer tour questions, then send guests to your Xola checkout
Guests ask where to meet, what to bring and what happens if it rains. Hazelchat answers from your own tour pages and shows the source. For open times and prices, it opens your Xola checkout.
The Free plan includes 50 answers a month on one website, with no card, and stays free.

Where do we meet for the sunset kayak tour?
At the boathouse on the north pier, 15 minutes before the start. Bring a towel and a change of clothes. Sources (1)
Can I still book for Saturday?
What guests ask before they book
Hazel answers from the pages and documents you add, and shows where each answer came from. If your pages do not say it, Hazel does not guess.
Where do we meet?
The meeting point and arrival time, as your tour page gives them.
What should I bring?
Shoes, clothing, water or ID: whatever your page lists.
Is there a minimum age?
Age and fitness rules from your tour page or terms.
What if it rains?
Your weather policy, from the page where you wrote it.
Can I cancel?
Your cancellation and refund terms, with a link to the page that holds them.
Questions Hazel could not answer appear in your workspace, so you know which page to add or improve.
Open times and prices stay in Xola
Hazel does not see your Xola calendar, bookings or prices. When a guest asks about booking or buying, or Hazel has nothing to answer from, the reply ends with a View purchase options button that opens your Xola checkout. Xola shows the open times and the price and takes the booking, as it does today. Hazel never books, changes or cancels a tour itself.
If your pages mention prices, Hazel quotes them as written. Keep them current, or leave prices to the checkout.
What you need
- Your own website where you can add code: usually the site that already shows your Xola checkout button. Xola’s help puts its own script in your site’s header or footer.
- Access to Settings → Button Code in Xola. Xola gives it to the Administrator and Marketer roles.
- A Hazelchat account. The Free plan includes 50 answers a month on one website, with no card.
Set it up in five steps
-
In Hazelchat
Add your tour pages
Under Sources, add the pages that hold your meeting points, what to bring, age rules, weather and cancellation terms. Then ask your agent what guests ask you most.
-
In Xola
Copy a checkout link
Open Settings → Button Code, choose the link instead of button code, and copy the link for your tour. It starts with
https://checkout.xola.com/and opens the checkout in a new tab. -
In Hazelchat
Make the checkout the next step
Open Behaviour → Actions, set Next step to View purchase options and paste the Xola link as the Destination URL. With several tours, use a page on your own site that lists them with their Xola buttons instead.
-
On your site
Add Hazelchat beside Xola
Under Website → Install on your website, copy the installation code. Add it the way your site allows: the WordPress plugin, the Wix app, or the same header or footer field that holds Xola’s script. All integrations has a guide for each.
-
On your site
Switch it on and test it
Click Publish and switch on. Hazelchat checks that the script is on your website first. Then ask the chat where to meet and whether you can book for Saturday, and check that the button opens your Xola checkout. Back in Hazelchat, click Yes, I saw this answer.
Good to know
- This guide adds the chat to your own website. Whether pages Xola hosts for you accept other scripts is not confirmed, so we do not suggest adding it there.
- Your agent offers one next-step link. Change it whenever your main tour changes.
- A click on the button is not a booking. Hazelchat receives nothing from Xola, so it does not count tours booked after a chat.
- Your Xola checkout, payments and confirmation emails stay as they are. Hazelchat adds nothing to Xola.
- If your cookie banner must allow the chat first, see cookie banners.
Questions
Does the agent book tours itself?
No. It offers your Xola checkout link. The guest picks a time and pays in Xola, and Xola sends its usual confirmation.
Can the agent see which times are free?
No. Hazelchat has no access to your Xola account. Open times and prices come from the Xola checkout.
Does it change my Xola checkout?
No. The chat and the checkout are separate. Your Xola buttons keep working as before.
Which plan do I need?
Any plan, including Free. Every plan can offer a next-step link.
From Xola’s help: Button Installation and Javascript Widget. For anything about your checkout, ask Xola’s support; for the chat, write to us. Hazelchat is not affiliated with or endorsed by Xola. Xola is a trademark of Xola Inc., used here only to name the booking system this guide is about.
